My geekiest post ever: “What’s in your address bar” revisited

More than five years ago (I wasn’t even married then…), Chris Pirillo asked “What’s in your browser bar” and I (among others) answered.

I figured it would be fun to have a look now. Then I thought “but I just switched browers” and launched the old Firefox to see what results I would get there – the trained eye will see immediately what I was working on at that time. Then I though, heck, throw in QuicksilverLaunchbarQuicksilver (Launchbar’s results are still too fresh) results as well. To be clear, the following is what you get when you type just one letter in your browser’s address bar, or in your Quicksilver prompt menu. Feel free to add you list in the comments, write your own blog post or just call me crazy.

Meanwhile, I think it’s a great capture of a moment. Quite interesting, too, that some letters are so often used and some not (“o”, “j”). Some sites didn’t even exist (Facebook, Twitter), others had different names (Xing), limpbizkit.com is back in the running because they have a new album coming out just now, Redcouch.com does no longer exist and I have no clue what it was…
