I drink whisky. Gladly. Not Jim Beam or Johnny Walker, but mostly Single Malts and some exquisite ones, too.
Almost every day during my lunch break I pass a wine/liquor store with about 12 meters window front. Most of that is occupied by wines which I never look at. Then there are two wooden cases with bottles of whisky in it. The owner (who on past occasions did not convince me of his whisky expertise) must have seen me look at those to cases quite a lot. However, for about the last three years, has not changes the contents. The same bottle of Ardberg is lying there next to something else.
I don’t know about you, but everytime I stand there I think, why does he not like to sell whisky? Does he think the bottle will sell eventually? If he doesn’t want to sell it, why bother with wasting his display shelf?
I am seriously thinking about talking to him about that…
