As I mentioned before I had purchased the ESPN.com Play-off Pass in order to watch the NHL play-offs on the web – living in Germany that was the easiest way (and if anybody watched the playoffs via nhl.com I’d like to exchange experiences, thank you). For a brief time I started dreaming, wondering why oh why there was no iPhone app that allowed me to watch the game on the iPhone. After all, log-in data would be the same, wouldn’t it? Well, only if the videos would play on YouTube of course, since flash hasn’t made it on the iPhone yet. But it would have been nice anyway, watching from the bed, on the crisp display…
Well, if the Major League Baseball is any indicator, come next play-off season this might change. The MLB just announced that their popular iPhone app At Bat(9.95$) will live-stream two games per day on iPhones with OS 3.0. Sounds great. Has anybody tried it yet? The NYT article says the app is supposed to have DVR features too…
