work in a book store. Or better, live in a bookstore. Thursday I went to the Thalia bookstore in Hamburg’s Europapassage, first time there with time. And browsed just the English section. So soothing, glancing at the covers with the head slightly tilted. Picking out books that kindled my interest, reading over some paragraphs. I didn’t get to sit down really, since I had junior with me and he got a bit restless, however, that turned out better for my credit card, as I left the new Richard Branson book, Obama’s Audacity of Hope, the new Friedman bestseller Hot, Flat and Crowded and the current Reacher novel behind, opting for David Foster Wallace’s tome Infinite Jest (which I do intend to read, actually) and Malcolm Gladwell’s new book Outliers instead. Naturally, the others go straight to my wishlist.
