I am certainly no expert on American politics, but I can only shake my head about the nomination of Sarah Palin as GOP VP candidate. In my head I am hearing one of the questions Obama chose his running mate by: The person must be able to BE the next POTUS, before that is the logical order. Personally, I can’t see McCain running the country, but Sarah Palin? Can you seriously see her arguing with Putin or Ahmadinedschad? And I don’t believe she’ll be able to take the Hillary voters from the democrats. Hillary and Bill Clinton will emerge as stronger team players than everybody thought and will not let this one slip away. Because that is what I think it is: Obama’s to lose.
On a lighter note, whats up with the Mats Sundin situation in Toronto? “I am sorry, I still haven’t made up my mind…” Dude, wake up, April 5th was your last game, that’s half a year! By now, your only choices are to retire or return to the Leafs. If you sign somewhere else, you betrayed all the people who believed your talk at the trade deadline, when the Leafs actually would have gotten something in return. Now your 37 and let’s face it, you won’t repeat last season’s numbers. Just imagine the Rangers trading away Gomez to make room for you, what a waste, now that they finally build with younger personnel. But really, what do you have to think about? Do you want to play for that missing Stanley Cup or not?
