(warning long post)
As you know, I am really keen on driving the Fatblogging movement. So, first-off, here is the html-code so that you can put the Twitter Fatblogging community updates on your website:
<div id=”twitter_div”><h2 class=”twitter-title”>Fatblogging Updates</h2><ul id=”twitter_update_list”></ul></div><script type=”text/javascript” src=”http://twitter.com/javascripts/blogger.js”></script><script text=”text/javascript” src=”http://twitter.com/statuses/user_timeline/fatblogging.json?callback=twitterCallback2&count=10″></script>
Secondly, I had a brief discussion with Joseph Jaffe on Twitter about exercising to which I replied I that I don’t even exercise, just try to cut back on alcohol and sweets. In hindsight, I would like to rephrase this a bit. True, my weight has been yoyo-ing between 165.34 and 171.96 which isn’t that much. And yes, I certainly don’t want it to go any higher. But the main thing is that during the last four months of Chris‘ pregnancy I gained 3% body fat – which puts me in the “overweight” category. Naturally, I don’t want to be there, and there were times during which I was much fitter. I used to play hockey and free-climb.
Coincidentally, I remembered to search for Chris Sharma videos online, of which not many were available when I used to climb regularly three years ago.
Look at this:

More Sharma videos here.
Therefore, I went to the attic, got out my gear and am determined to work the rock again. But – first some basic free climbing fitness needs to be reached. Sit-ups, push-ups, free weights, hand curls and pull-ups on the ledge of the door, using only the fingertips.
Like this:
I am thinking, once I get to 60 seconds hang-time, I can get back on the walls, prior to that I would just be getting on my own nerves for being unable to perform what my head suggests and therefore a waste of energy and money.
In the process of these excercises, I hope to reach a stable 168 pounds and come down to less than 20% body fat. Keep your fingers crossed.
