Metaverse, quite a term.
Lately, it is really filled with life for me – I studied literature and theater within the theater always piqued my interest.
For example: At the re:publica conference in Berlin we sat down to record a show, with video. While Mario set up his gear Heiko filmed him and I filmed the scene which was being filmed by Mario through the viewer of his camera with my cell phone. Go ahead, read that again.
Earlier, Heiko reported that he had blogged about somebody who had uploaded a picture of the SMS-screen in the venue to flickr which somebody saw (including the number) and send a text-message to the croud in the venue.
Today I twittered about the need for an intern, blogged about it and sent an sms to the venue.
Quite a number of hits on my blog later this is just another example for this outward spiral. The interesting aspect is that we are not talking about cross-media activities as an ad-campaign. All these channels used privately, make for a fascinating “read”. David Weinberger writing a book, blogging about it. I read it. Blog about it, make a video about it, blog about it. He blogs about my video, I twitter about his blog post. From a conceptual point this is kind of mind boggling. He said, she said was just the starting point.
“I have a friend who blogged something about a colleague who gave a presentation. On the back-channel a tweet was mentionened which…”
