This morning I noticed a little red “New features” on top of my Gmail screen. Among them were the option to choose your own RSS feeds in web clips. I don’t pay much attention to the web clips, but maybe that’ll change when I see Scripting News or the InfoRouter there.
Also, GChat is now available as default, all you need is a Gmail/Googlemail Account, no need to sign up anywhere. A clever move following the recent AIM pages launch I think. It’ll tighten the fight for user share quite a bit when the so-called early adopters, many of whom use Gmail, don’t have to switch apps anymore to IM.
