Very often successful people have a story to tell. And the not yet successful should be happy that many of the successful bunch are willing to share these days. Since I am a big hockey fan I am quite pleased with sites like hockeybuzz of course, but even more with Guy Kawasaki and Ted Leonsis‘ blogging. Not only are they great business leaders, the also have a great passion for blogging. Over here in Germany you could sometimes read about Leonsis’ efforts to be available for and close to fans. This is of course an important part not only for entertainment businesses, the support of their fans. Through some channels I was able to meet Brendan Shanahan once, and while it was quite a bit after my "I really need this guitar/hockey player’s signature"-phase, it without doubt solidified my "fandom" in terms of Shanahan, the Red Wings and the sport of hockey. (though you can’t really see me having left this phase behind in the picture)
Where is the story in this post? Oh yes, there is one. In reference to Monday’s post which announced me working as free-lancer (who will of course listen to any offer out there), I would like to disclose that I am now an official member of team bellobene, and true to Seth Godin who said that when it comes to marketing your brand you shouldn’t forget the T-Shirt, I am enlarging my collection and will wear this one with pride. And since #14, Shanahan’s number wasn’t available anymore I of course switched digits and chose #41.
I’ll still wear gapingshirts of course, but, full disclosure here, there will be some endorsements of bellobene-products on planetsab in the future.
