Chris Pirillo introduced gada.be: a metasearch of about 140 sources like MSN, Yahoo News, Google News, IceRocket, Google Blogs, Flickr, Technorati, Amazon, Digg and many others.
The beauty lies in its simplicity. One can either go to gada.be and enter the search term (like you do on Google). Or one can insert the queury as the sub domain:
A search for “NHL” would be initiatiated by the URL nhl.gada.be
A search for “Angela Merkel” would be angela.merkel.gada.be
A search for “Angela” and “Merkel” would be angela-merkel.gada.be
Searching with the URL lends itself to mobile usage of course, since you get all the results with one line and without first having to access a web site.
And already, there are severeal gada.be plugins to be used on computers, IE, Firefox and MovableType among others. Chris also offers the stats which show that there are enough geeks among Germany’s internet users. Yeah. We’ll see how gada.be fairs in four weeks.
