Shel Holtz has introduced a new feature on his weblog, comments in the RSS-feed. I think this is a major breakthrough for conversations, because very often a post comes alive in the comments. It seems like his posts are republished with every new comment which makes it even cooler I think. If I remember correctly, Shel does not use one of the “big” blog-hosting providers, so it will be a while until TypePad introduces this feature I guess.

Indeed, Sebastian, I’m running Expression Engine 1.3 on my own server.

Apropros of nothing, I notice you have Dan Brown’s ‘Deception Point’ on your desk at the moment — I reckon this was his first novel, as the others seem to get stronger and more inventive as they go on (‘Deception Point’ is very predictable, ‘Digital Fortress’ better but still predictable, ‘Angels and Demons’ even better, ‘Da Vinci’ breathtaking)

You would think, but a quick search at Amazon reveals the following order: Digital Fortress, Angels&Demons, Deception Point, Da Vinci. I agree with your ranking though, as
Deception point has made it back on the shelf. I just don’t like books were the riddle is solved two-thirds through and the rest is just chase.
