Die Wahrheit ist, dass mir die Idee schon vor dem Kapuzenpulli kam. Und wenn nun jemand sagt, gibt es schon, heißt BarCamp, dann habe ich mich nicht richtig ausgedrückt.
Ich will schon dafür bezahlen, die Herren Kleske, Müller, Häusler, Lumma und Frau Sommer zu hören. Und die sollen auch gern Geld dafür bekommen. Aber ich möchte im Gegenzug dafür die Personen und das, womit sie täglich im Blog begeistern, nicht einen irgendwie verpackten Pitch, ich habe dann ja schon einmal bezahlt. Übrigens will ich nicht implizieren, dass die Genannten immer pitchen oder nicht begeistern, aber wo kann ich so eine gemischte Gruppe schon mal unter einem Dach hören, ohne, dass sie sich einem Thema oder Arbeitgeber unterordnen müssen, sondern einfach darüber vortragen, was sie gerade am Herzen gepackt hat.
Wer die Idee halbwegs plausible findet, kann ja mal kommentieren…

Getting ready to work on your FrontierVille farm this weekend? Here are 5 tips to get along with your neighbours (I am from Germany, we have rules for everything, especially on how to get along with the guys in the garden next door):

Before you tend around on your neighbor’s homestead, have a look at what he “intends” you to do: Are trees marked to be cut? Any half-done trees? Stumps? Areas she is clearing? Crops that need to be revived? Crops that need to be harvested? (and if you harvest, don’t go all over the place, some people like order)
Don’t water growing crops. It is a waste of time, your energy and will confuse your neighbor’s harvesting schedule: five patches out of 40 will have to harvested 2-4 hours early…
If you can’t find the obvious thing to do, feed the animals, beginning with the smallest.
Visiting is an important part of being neighbors, especially in the clearing and the capitalist phase of the cycle (every inch of the farm is filled with crops) when help is needed and not enough energy to be bought.
Then again. Hire yourself. It costs only 50 coins and the more experienced the hired neighbor the more he or she will help you. Too bad you can only hire twice in one day.
Bonus: Gifts. Oh, the gifts. Give plenty and you shall receive. True story.
Bonus: Don’t write mass emails to your neighbors asking for help with the harvest, see #6.

Aus irgendeinem Grund poste ich ziemlich wenig über meine Kinder, zumindest wenig Fotos.
Sonntag ist Jakob drei Jahre alt.geworden, aus diesem Grund gibt es eine Ausnahme.

Weil er was besonderes ist. Ein herzensguter, der für sein Alter unglaublich sozial ist. Der mich jeden Tag zum lachen bringt.

Der sensibel ist, sich sorgt, sowohl um seine kleine Schwester wenn sie weint, als auch um seine Eltern, wenn sie einen schlechten Tag haben.

Der untersucht, immer wieder. Und dann sagt, was er denkt. Dessen Phantasie noch nicht durch Grenzen wie “das macht man nicht” oder “das magst du nicht” eingeschränkt ist. Der Bitte und Danke sagt und es meint.

Und als ich mir gestern diese Bilder angeschaut habe, dachte ich, wenn er das kann, dann sollte ich das auch können.

More than five years ago (I wasn’t even married then…), Chris Pirillo asked “What’s in your browser bar” and I (among others) answered.

I figured it would be fun to have a look now. Then I thought “but I just switched browers” and launched the old Firefox to see what results I would get there – the trained eye will see immediately what I was working on at that time. Then I though, heck, throw in ~~QuicksilverLaunchbar~~Quicksilver (Launchbar’s results are still too fresh) results as well. To be clear, the following is what you get when you type just one letter in your browser’s address bar, or in your Quicksilver prompt menu. Feel free to add you list in the comments, write your own blog post or just call me crazy.

Meanwhile, I think it’s a great capture of a moment. Quite interesting, too, that some letters are so often used and some not (“o”, “j”). Some sites didn’t even exist (Facebook, Twitter), others had different names (Xing), limpbizkit.com is back in the running because they have a new album coming out just now, Redcouch.com does no longer exist and I have no clue what it was…
